| Today, it is exactly 20 years when started first protest against the communist regime in my country, which resulted to the massive protests all around Czechoslovakia. It was happened in Bratislava, very near from the place where I used to live at these days. I was there as well. However there was about 300 students, there was as well many other people as me and certainly many members of STB (secret service). The first protest was not big, but idea was huge. I am not missing the previous system, I just feel sorry, that people has changed their values and goals. Today I am just wondering if Velvet Revolution was not too velvet.

| Tomorrow is a "D" day for us. We are just one little step from World championship in Football in South Africa. Two outsiders from our group have a biggest chance to move on. Slovakia - Slovenia is the most important match for us now. For us is enough to play equally tomorrow, or we can loose, but then we will have to win in Poland. We are six points ahead from Slovenia. I am very optimistic. We will see.

I visited today an open air musem in Budapest-Ferihegy. Beside many planes which have been used by Malev they have there also this piece. I like AN-2, but this is version "M", rare model here. When I will have more time, I will post more pictures. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |
| Last week, while I was on the business trip in Krasnoyarsk I had a phone call from my boss who asked me to come to our UK office for meeting. I could to fly there directly, but one of the other option how to get there was to join my colleague from Belgium and use his car and ferry to UK. I find this more interesting however it was more complicated. On the route Callais-Dover-Callais I met those beauties. It was new and very exciting experience. I really enjoy it.
SeaFrance Rodin - I used this on the way back. Length: 186 m Height: 43,85 m Number of decks: 11 ( More ferries... )

We had a "crazy" weekend for all, who likes everything what is moving. You could to visit an airshow in city named Piestany, or event for all lovers of railway. Because I could to spend the without my family just one day I decided to go to locomotive depot. This year was this event dedicated to diesel locomotives and motor wagons. Certainly there were some steam locomotives as well, historical trains were riding between different stations in the city. I have been there twice. I spent there all morning and then I returned back at evening for night photography.

| Past Saturday our country participated on the Fifth year event Night of museum and galleries. I think that this is going on in all EC. The previous years were very successfuly here, so I was looking forward for this year. What it is ? That day is a long day in museum and galleries. Just here, in Bratislava was involved 70 different museums. They have been open 9.00 - 24.00 , but not only this. The entrance fee was €1,50 which you paid in the first museum and you received the visitor card. With that card you could to visit as many museums as you was able to visit and you also had a free public transportation. As I already said, this was very popular in the past, so I was expecting many people this year as well. It is interesting to see all families, people of all ages to walk at night from museum to museum. Sometimes it is very exciting to visit old castle at night. It is almost mysterious. I have visited five different exhibitions together with my family. I started at morning with my daughter in Museum of Transportation. Part of it was also a ride on the historical train powered by steam locomotive. What can I say ? It was just excellent !
